Friday was not too busy a day here at the gate. We figured it must be the calm before the storm since the fracking was due to arrive in the morning :-). Rudee made a run into town and picked up our mail, groceries and fast food supper. May seem strange but I am looking forward to being able to go to the store (or anywhere for that matter) together. I miss doing things with my sweety :-).
Saturday morning heavy fog rolled in making our area look a little spooky but it burned off pretty quick once the sun was up.
Shortly after taking that photo lines of trucks started arriving. The first group there we 13 semis with all kinds of odd looking equipment trailers while others carried large diesel generators that filled the entire trailer. They had no more cleared the gate when another wave arrived followed by another :-0. Needless to say we have had a busy morning and so far have checked in 23 semis and quite a few pick up trucks and two shuttle buses. They tell us they are here to "frack a tree", cracks Rudee up when they say that, not sure why? :-). Oh ya, we checked in one roach wagon too! Whoo hoo, free food :-).
We have heard they will "rig up" today and start the fracking process tomorrow. This well is the same depth as the one on the front pad so they figure the fracking will take about the same length of time which was around 4 days and then another day for tear down then the parade starts all over again. Should be a busy week for sure. I'll keep you posted.
